Hi. Thanks for all the info :)

Yesterday uninstalled sierra watcher on mc8355. And windows 10 can manage wwan just fine.

Still couldnt test gps without sierra watcher. Cant find an app that uses only gps signal.

Will be great if windows 10 can handle gps too, without sierra watcher.

In the meantime I ll buy a mc7355 to try.

@trihy newer apps use Windows location subsystem (you should enable it, and particular app access to it, in Windows settings), while older apps rely on direct modem's COM port access and that's likely what Sierra Watcher invokes. What app are you using?

Download GPS Gate Splitter on this page
    https://gpsgate.com/download
Also get the Plugin Installer on the same page. It provides a COM port output from the Windows Location API

    Hi. Thanks for your answers.

I didnt see any com port related to gps on system devices (I only get intel amt under com & lpt ports). I guess windows 10 handles other way gps data.

I tried maps (microsoft app), gps satellite, map factor gps navigation. All from the windows 10 store. I couldnt get gps signal in any of them. Check location settings for this apps, and was on.

@tcassidy. That gpsgate should make old apps work, I think, right?

Absolutely. I use it with my Surface GO LTE and several older programs like Garmin Mobile PC.

    Thats great.

I used to use garmin for pc like 10 years ago. But been without a wwan/gps notebook for many years.

A few days ago remembered about it, tried to google and cant find anything. They still support garmin for pc?

No, it has not been available for years. Not many Windows programs left except the ones that use the API.

Windows 10 messaging app says it cannot send sms, just receive.

Not sure if this can be changed. If not will have to go back to install sierra watcher again. I need to send sms to buy data packages.
