I am also looking for a device to get me through a health professions school.

Your price range is your limiting factor. For under ~$500, you will be hard pressed to find a tablet that can do all that you want it to do. With most tablets, adding a keyboard dock adds $100-200 to the price. And if you want a tablet to record or store video lectures, you will require a bit more hard drive space. You should also realize that recording video will be taxing on the battery life.

In your situation, I think the best device would be the Dell Venue 11 Pro. Here, however, you would be looking at $800 for i3 processor, 4GB ram, and 128 GB hard drive. The keyboard dock is an additional $130. And if you want an active stylus, it is $30.

There is also the smaller Venue 8 Pro, but it really doesn't have the specifications that you need for the functionality.

You might also consider Thinkpad Tablet 2 with bluetooth keyboard, or convertible devices such as the Dell XPS 12 or the Lenovo Yoga 11s. The Lenovo Thinkpad Helix is also pretty cheap these days. A thousand bucks gets you a tablet, keyboard dock with extra battery, and active stylus.

Sounds like the Asus Transformer T100 might be perfect for you.
