now I know why my SP4 can't connect to any wired screen , but is there hope to fix it ?

Hi, I wrote yesterday (on reddit) that my surface can't connect to any monitor , and today when i was testing it more I noticed that the monitor played the audio from the surface , so I figured that it must be the port pins , and yes



as you see the mini disproportional port pins are not aligned correctly

so what are my options ?

1- fix it by moving the pins somehow

2- plan B , use a USB to hdmi cable\adapter

BTW , i imported the device , so i don't have a microsoft store in my country and since it's not released here they don't support it , so I think I'm on my own this time and microsoft will not help

get the m$ wireless display adaptor. it is small, light and easy to use. just plug it into any display and you can connect wirelessly. best done with a larger tv. but can work with a whole host of others. also, you can easily get a usb, to hdmi adapter. some of them have multiple hdmi connectors on one adaptor. so there's that also. good luck. i hope this helps.

 

thanks, I already have a Miracast adapter (Push2TV 3000) but that did not connect most of the time

so I got the MS display adapter , I hope it will works will

 

an update for MS wireless display adapter , It's not working well but at least it's working (I need to press connect 3 times and it fail to connect the first 2 times)

is it the same with any of you ? any idea how to fix it
