I've been following the announcement of the new P-series Thinkpads (P50 and P70), and I was browsing the dedicated site this morning for details.

    https://www.thinkworkstations.com/thinkpad/

If you click the "Superior Display" link and sit through the animation, a pop-up for "FHD Touch Panels" appears with the phrase:

"Interact with your work in more direct ways using a 10-point touch screen and optional ThinkPad Pen Pro with Wacom technology."

That's pretty bananas as these laptops will have Skylake-based Xeons and unspecified Quadro graphics. Obviously drawing on a non-convertible is not the best situation, but for all the dashed Yoga 15 dreams, this might be a pretty awesome (and powerful) alternative, especially if it's also available on the 17" version.

Given Lenovo's track record, who know if this will actually happen as stated, but it looks we'll have to wait until Q4 to find out.

HOT DAMN. I may just hold off on just waiting for the 15" Yoga and wish for this. Hope this isnt vaporware as well.

Would this mean that there is a Yoga feature on this computer? Would be hard to write on this machine without a X230T hingle swivle or yoga functionality.

Do the screens on these fold back yoga-style or what?

(Lenovo did awesome animations, btw. I like how the machine explodes open to show the interior.)

Up to 64 Gigs of RAM? Yow.

Weird. If they offer Yoga style tablet mode, wouldn't they illustrate that?

The 17" might be interesting in case I'll ever need to replace the cintiq companion...

I take it would be the new Wacom AES, cause Lenovo speak is sometimes hard to understand. Also, it would have been interesting to see the higher res display with a pen or at the very least the touch option.
