Well... I'm off! Selling the 2760p on Monday as I've decided on the following

-8760w for work and mild play
-Windows 8 standard tablet when they arrive

I would have a samsung 7 slate again but cannot trust the build quality. Shame

    P.s. The 2760p is a fantastic machine!

Nope, didin't work...keeps it quite for some time (depends on the mode) and then kicks happily back in. On the other hand I have to say it is very chilled. Heat development on the keyboard and palm rest is sort of not existent, while the XT3 is horrible!

Good news! Another 2760p should be on its way to me next week. I gave in... I did... Just have to have some form of tablet and I can't wait until October. Aggghhh. Also going to only use Windows 8 as I have to provide training asap.

You remind me of a Metroplex car salesman who shows up with a new car every time you see him.

I've got to stop one day :) I just want a tablet, convertible (TC1100 style), with 8 hours 'realistic' battery life along with a docking station. Shame about the resolution on the 2760p though. :)

Oh, we old TC1100 users have all been looking for that for years, ever since HP abandoned us and threw out the best design it acquired from Compaq.

Compared to you, I feel positively sedate in my purchasing habits. I've only gone through 5 Tablet PCs in the past four years.

I have added another 4GB to my 2760p without removing any keyboard...
Just remove the first 4GB and you have access to the second slot...

    ?

You must have a special machine compared to the one I had... . Just have a look at the maintenance manual and the primary is under the rear cover with the secondary being under the keyboard. Any chance of a picture?
