I'm in the wait category as well. I am only hoping for the best price possible because my brother is due for a tablet upgrade this year and, while he'd like a Core M Windows tab, it needs to be no more than ten inches and preferably $500 or under. Otherwise, Samsung and whoever else tries and fails are losing a customer while he goes instead for an iPad Pro.

I would have owned one. Given how much I use my GN5 for smaller note-taking and the bulk of my email, I have less need for an 8" tablet than I do for an ultraportable 10" tablet. Rather than resurrecting the Surface Mini, I think I would prefer to see a Surface 3-like ARM device with a USB-C port in place of the mUSB-2 port in the S3. Support for the new pen and low latency inking would be great too.

I wonder if we're not seeing these stories because Microsoft is considering releasing the Mini with WOA?

On a second thought, I'm glad they didn't release that rubbish. It looks ugly in every aspect of it, 1gb ram, 32gb storage, huge bezels, gimped OS and I bet it weighed more than the current ones like the DV8P. Now they can focus on making something better.

Frustrating, isn't it? As much as I love my GTA8SP as a moleskine-replacement, I'd like to go all MS. Hopefully WOA will deliver. Here's hoping.

"Mini was powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 800 processor with 1GB RAM and ran Windows RT. It offered 32GB of storage"
They have taken a good decision to never deliver it.
I wanted a Mini, I want a Mini, but never with these characteristics.
    Nope, never.

    I want a Galaxy Book 8" m3 4/256 with a siloed SPen.
Hey Samsung, do it even for the price of the 10.6" and I will buy one immediately.

In order to be a hit with me it would have had to run full, desktop Windows, have its designers recognize 'portrait' as the primary orientation, and scrap the kickstand to keep bulk under control.
