Looks ugly, low screen res, bad keyboard, widescreen, not santa rosa, etc....

I guess the wait is over, time to buy Lenovo X61t.

I am glad to see the photos, I just wish they have both of the side to see what ports are on them. It doesn't look as flashy as that first video made it look like. However it does look better then some of the other tablets.

Did anyone notice what looks like two buttons on the monitor, just above the VGA/ Lan port? I wonder what those are. Almost makes me think of a scroller or some other function.

I think I will probably end up going for the Dell now. After seeing a little bit more about it and seeing the photos now. 2 week wait isn't that bad.

If it's ATi chipset with Intel U7600 CPU - then no Santa Rosa in there....

The U7600 Merom processor is the Santa Rosa chip.

Also if you look under the specs page for the ati's 1250 graphic processor it states that it is for the merom processor again the Santa Rosa...

Its just a bummer that they went with a vga out... Would have been cool if they put on a hdmi out.. The 1250 has it on the spec page as a possible output oh well...

Processor has very little or nothing to do with Santa Rosa platform. Any chip manufacturer can make a chipset supporting the specific CPU.

The main constituents of Santa Rosa are Intel Mobile 965 chipset (X3100 graphics and ICH8M southbridge) and Centrino Pro (Intel 4965 Wireless). While the latter isn't really important (to me anyway), but 965 chipset brings a few goodies such as IDA (Intel dynamic accel.), EFI-firmware (no BIOS anymore), NAND flash-memory (Turbo Memory). None of these will be available with ATI chipset used in XT. And god knows what else. Third-party chipsets are always known as being cheaper than Intel's, but inferior, too.

Thanks for the clarification, aeview, but your last sentence seems to be a bit biased.
l am happy to see some competition among Intel/AMD and finally customers will benefit.
