The Android model looks like of interesting, if the paper notebook tech works with the 8in too. Is there any device using the Qualcomm pen? Like can I get the pen, and say install the right app/drivers and have an active(or active like?) pen on my Android phone?

Not sure. My understanding is that the pen technology is ultrasonic, so it might potentially require specialized microphones for that.

It also might require that you don't have dogs.

Interesting. So does the 8in model come/work with the notebook pad?

Just got off of the phone with phone support. The HP 408 Pro G1 comes in three versions. Lowest price is 32GB SSD, wifi only. Mid-priced is 64GB SSD, wifi only. The high end model is 64GB SSD, cellular +wifi.

Waiting to see if there is a Microsoft Signature version.

Huh. Maybe so then. You'd think that they'd mention that in their press release and in the datasheet that they're linking directly to. Weird.

I am not sure why, but the 8in model looks interesting to me. If it actually has pressure support, like my TPT did then I could be persuaded to get one as a companion device(Note 4 on my carrier lacks root so far, something I use on my phone frequently).
