You gotta love Philadelphians. We wear insults like a badge of honor.

Philadelphia can't hold a candle to Camden.

Things are so bad there they don't need a sign...

Do you remember the hobby shop on the corner in Haddonfield? Circa 1960’s...

I lived in Philly in the 60s. My grandmother lived in Collingswood though. Allied hobbies?

You wouldn't know Camden today. Rutgers and hospitals are taking over. The Sixers are thinking about moving there.

    <<...Allied hobbies?..>>

Can't remember the name of the Haddonfield hobby shop, just that it was toward one end of Haddon Avenue in a building that looked like it may have formerly been a service station. In the late 50's and 60's, it seemed like there were new models on the shelves every couple of days! Those were heady times!!

I also remember the hobby shop in Collingswood, although I was not able to get there very often. Another Mecca for an aspiring engineer...!

Speaking about Philly, my family would occasionally shop for groceries at a store in Philly called Costella's. It was a good day when Mom would get cookies and pastries from the Swiss Bakery...
