.. but it didn't :) Sorry man, still no luck.
The mpd_pid error is still present but this time it is followed by another message:

Failed to load database; Failed to open database file "/eTablet/Settings/mpd/database": No such file or directory

Above message shows when I add the sd-card. Without it this is the message: "music directory is not a directory : "/eTablet/music"

"mpd_pid" is not an error, it's just info message.

    Try to

    rm /eTablet/Settings/mpd/database

looks like it's created with error

I can't even imagine, why such trouble appears ..

No 'database' file to remove and also no 'log' file present. Strange that it is working on your eee note.

Hm. I've just removed database file and runned mpd - it created this file again, and it should always do that.

Will try to link music dir directly to /mnt/extsdcard/music may be it wil helps in future ..

    SOLVED!

To get it to work offline
    set up some local host

    For Example ifconfig lo 3.3.3.3

    then in QtMPC

    set
    as your MPD HOST

    Ta Da!

    Interface Configuration for IP

    Add new Local Host to
    (create this file)

    example :
Or ...just read default value for localhost from "ifconfig lo" x]

    Profit?

Can it be firmware feature? I'm always have loopback interface up, even if wifi is turned off. So connection to 127.0.0.1:6600 should work in any case.

    I use latest RU fw.
Probably one of installed packages mixes up the config.
I'll check systems default setting the next time I format internal drive.
