    Hi,

I am running Windows 7 RC1 on my Kohjinsha SC3 tablet.

I try to install MS Reader 2.6 for Tablet and UMPC and I receive the error

"You are trying to install Microsoft Reader 2.6 on a device that does not have the MS Origami Experience Pack or Microsoft Touch Pack installed. Please install the appropriate pack etc..."

So I installed Origami 2 and rebooted. Same result.

Next I tried installing the original experience pack, it would not install as it wanted XP 2005 Tablet edition. I tried installing the new experience pack (ExperiencePackUpdate.msi) and it says it will only install on "Vista with Tablet PC technologies".

How can I install MS Reader? I just want to read some ebooks!

    Thanks in advance.

Seriously, has no one installed Windows 7 on their tablet and tried MS Reader for Tablet and UMPC (2.6)?

Maybe now that the RTM has hit the interwebs someone can report their experience?

Is this tablet touch enabled? It seems MS is saying that the only version that would run requires the Touch Experience Pack. If you have installed it and you do not have Touch, it would most likely not work.

No, I have not tried MS Reader although I am running Windows 7 RC. I would give it a try but is there any reason why I should expect a different result than yours?

Have you tried the standard version of MS Reader?
    http://www.microsoft.com/reader/downloads/pc.aspx

The Tablet PC/UMPC version (below) does state that both the Touch Pack and Origami Experience (see link) are required.

Seems you're following the correct procedure for the Origami version but it's still not working. Have you tried compatibility mode (right-click)? Not sure what else to suggest, other than having to stick to the standard version (first link).
