You have to disable the secure boot option in your firmware settings.
But I do not understand, because I had this issue, and few weeks later we received on update wich solved this issue.

It is another update...I managed to do a restore...

this morning....update displayed message.."window installed update"

now my AViRa anti-virus failed to start.

what ever MS has done is bad.....MS should provide notifications to users before any push updates...especially for user to me with a weaker cpu..

edit: just did an AVira update..it is working now.
the system is kind of stutter along after MS update..

I spent a good chunk of Monday un-doing a bunch of updates, (including the defender stuff), at a friend's bookshop. The update killed their point of sale system right in the middle of holiday shopping. I was doing impromptu tech support while she managed sales with a pad of paper and a cash box.

It took two hours and a phone call with the software vendor's support services to get the shop's system working again; even after undoing the MS stuff, the data base needed re-indexing. Apparently the vendor was getting reports from bookshops all over the place about the same problem.

I crunched through and turned off automatic updates on the shop's computer. What a mess. MS dropped the ball on that one, big time.

    I've locked out MS update...
I wonder if MS updates in 2016 will still crashing systems.
