If you have been following all the developments with touch technology, then you know Microsoft is on top of things. The Microsoft Surface has not only been used onMSNBC and other media outlets for this year's campaign trail, but it can be used as a fun tool as well.

I have to say being able to rotate pictures and move things with the touch of your hand is neat. This Halloween the Surface is letting users carve a pumpkin, thanks to partners Vectorform. Yeah imagine thatvirtual pumpkin carving. All the fun with no mess. Check out the video below, I have to say technology has come along way.

    <object width='425' height='344' classid='clsid:d27cdb6e-ae6d-11cf-96b8-444553540000' codebase="http://download.macromedia.com/pub/shockwave/cabs/flash/swflash.cab#version=6,0,40,0"> <param name="allowFullScreen" value="true" /> <param name="src" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/nZlsS4edwLE&hl=en&fs=1" /><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/nZlsS4edwLE&hl=en&fs=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" width='425' height='344'></embed> </object>

Other companies are following suite with the touch applications. Besides Vectorforms applications that work with the Surface, SmartTech, a company known for gesture recognitions and whiteboards, has created the SMARTTable a touch interface for kids. Can't wait to see what else comes from all these touch applications. I know my nieces and nephews would love to play with these interfaces, especially the pumpkin carving. Have a safe and Happy Halloween!

That's pretty cool. Of course, you could do this right now. :)
