Bigger, lighter, faster: these are the features Microsoft promises for its third-generation Windows 8.1 tablet. We go hands on with this 11.8-inch device.

Ehh, Panay said he compared it to a MacBook Pro, not the Air.

I don't like it, but it's clearly not for me. I like the Pro and Pro 2 design. The just needed to make it thin and lighter IMO. But I know this will make some people happy.

Edit: I take it back. I saw a bad pic. It looks nice.

I appreciate the review but what kind of review leaves out the, "Critical," battery life? Did I miss this paramount factor?

Considering it's been announced about 12 hours ago, I doubt a lot of people could have done that battery life test in the short time they've had so far. They also need time to write their piece...

Right. Jamison has only had the Surface Pro 3 for a few hours, not time enough to properly judge battery life. That's why this is called a preview. But he's working on a full review now, and this will cover all the features in depth.

Of course. I'll include one with my full review.

Hi Jamison, will be great if you can start a precedence by properly testing the digitizer accuracy. Hovering tracking, Slow tracking, Edge tracking, Ruler tests, Pressure variations. Bring your camera right next to the screen and see how close the cursor sticks to the pen tip.

Surface Pro 3 is certainly not among other tablets out there, I think it is for those who want a better laptop-like device with greater mobility, not compromising on power and efficiency , looking forward to full Review.
