Microsoft acquiring N-Trig?

    I didn't realize N-trig was that small... Looks like Wacom is worth ~$900 million. Maybe they were planning on doing this all along and Wacom was too expensive =P. They partnered with Nokia well before buying them.

    If I were an N-trig employee, I'd try to negotiate separately with MS. Give me $500,000 and I'll quit my job and come work with you =)

    I think the IP N-Trig has was just as important as the N-Trig Team....

    So will this become like a Samsung-Wacom type partnership or will we be seeing more companies now using Synaptic based tech?

    I can't remember: were any N-Trig devices announced at CES? Idle speculation alert: perhaps N-Trig's customers were already moving to other tech and Microsoft had to move in to keep their supplier alive?

    That is a good point. Isn't the only other line currently using N-trig the Viao (which was sold off by sony).

    That's what I'm thinking. The newest Acers are Synaptics, right?
