I have Xubuntu Hardy Heron 8.04. running on x61t. It is the Alpha-6 release. Works without any problems. Also I can recommend the XFCE Desktop for tablet users. Faster, very eye andy, a nice dock (IconBox), composition effects without compiz fusion and it rotates easily using xrandr.

    Righto--

So I just installed 8.10 (dual booting w vista), and I'm loving it. Trouble is, I'm having a ***** of a time getting some of the hardware to work.

Harrowed in particular, I know you were running 7.x, but how did you get the fn buttons to work? I can't even get sound to work properly.

FN buttons, sound, pen/touch--these're what I'm having trouble with :( I'm searching through Ubuntu help, but figured someone here might already have solved my problems.

    Any help?
