I'd like to extend the battery life of my m400 but it seems that my only option is the slice battery, which i don't have hot feelings for. The slim selectbay batteries i've found for some of toshibas other models, looks so much slicker.

But it seems there isn't such a battery for the m400. Now my question is, what is most likely to happen if i plug one such in my laptop - will it blow up because it doesnt support it or will it use correctly or might nothing at all happen?

Hoping somebody has tried this since im not keen on being the first to do it :)

    cheers

This has larger dimensions than the DVD drive. I'm thinking it will not even fit the slot.

So the bay on the m400 simply has different dimensions than those toshiba models which have the slim battery option? Im not saying that the one i linked to is supposed to fit, but are there no models which share dimension? I cant find any good shoots, but it looks like the port matches the one in my removable dvd-drive.
