What is the advantage of a duo core processor on the new Toshiba M400?

No one will really have firm details as to the actual benefits of this chip over existing models until we see some production units get tested. However, if early reports are correct it could be very exciting. The processor is rumored to have faster processing, consume less power, and generate less heat. For notebooks this is a home run. Still, all this is just speculation for now.

Basically you can complete two functions independently without the machine slowing down. In examples we saw at CES this means you can encode video and play an intense game without the system slowing up. Core Duo is really only going to benefit hard core multi-taskers at first.
