Thank you for all your hard work!! On the other hand, I do not think that it is needed to have a separated thread for Windows 10 machines. Almost all the machines in this thread will be able to update to W10.

Sorry for my fórum management ignorance, but could someone else have admin rights to edit this thread and continue your job?

Admins could, but alternatively I could post the "code" of post 1, and someone could start a new thread with it named just e.g. "Windows tablets and convertibles with stylus" and pick up where I left off. Let me know if you're interested!

Lots of thanks to JoeS for this brilliant thread.

On another note, visit some Japanese folk blogs and I've just learned that NEC Japan also has a handful Window 8 tablets at their disposal.

NB: prices do not include 8% consumption tax

    1. VersaPro J type VS
    http://www.necdirect.jp/shop/note/versapro/vs/index.html
    • Detachable, 11.6", 1920 x 1080, CoreM-5Y71, 4GB RAM, 128GB SSD
    • Standard Wacom (model with CoreM-5Y10 doesn't come with digitizer!), pen silo only on keyboard dock
    • 822g, 9.6mm, drop- and drip-resistance (as advertised)
    • 1 x USB3.0, 1 x microHDMI, 1 x microSD slot
    • 9.8hrs battery life (measured on CoreM-5Y10)
    • Starts at JPY 112,500 ~ $900

    2. VersaPro J type VT
    http://www.necdirect.jp/shop/note/versapro/vt/
    • Detachable, 10.1", 1920 x 1200
    • Atom Z3795, 2/4GB RAM, 64/128GB eMMC (customisable)
    • Standard Wacom, pen silo only on keyboard dock
    • ~600g, ~9mm, drop- and drip-resistance (as advertised)
    • 1 x USB2.0, 1 x microHDMI, 1 x microSD slot
    • 10.1hrs battery life
    • Starts at JPY 70,200 ~ $560 for 2GB/64GB model. Upgrading to 4GB/64GB costs a mere JPY700 more though.

    3. LAVIE Tab W710

    http://www.necdirect.jp/shop/tablet/catalog/w/
Essentially the VT brother with 4GB RAM and 64GB eMMC, except that it comes with Office Home & Business 2013. Starting price: JPY 76,800 ~ $620

Lastly a ThinkPad Yoga look-alike is coming soon called VersaPro J type VW:
    http://www.necdirect.jp/shop/note/versapro/vw2/index.html
    • 15.6", 1920 x 1080, i5-5200U/i3-5010U, max. 16GB RAM, 500GB HDD/SSHD
    • Wacom AES (?), pen holder plugged in a USB port
    • 2 x USB3.0, 1 x USB2.0, HDMI, SD slot
    • 22.3mm, keyboard with numpad

There are 8-inchers as well but sadly they don't have a digitizer.

The VersaPro J are also bundled with a convenient touch-key software, which is a TouchKey and RadialMenu combination imo (ToucKey is fully functional on the VersaPro J as the developer claims, in case anyone is interested)

Weenie. What ... you want your life back?

Actually, I have to say that this is a great thread. Often imitated. No, not imitated, just lifted wholesale to someone else's site. : ) I do hope somebody takes over the thread and keeps it going. You have put a ton of effort into this.

This is definitely one of the most useful threads on this site by a long shot.
    I vote Joe for president!

Thank you for the offer, but I do not feel that my technical knowledge is up to the task! I learn a lot from the masters only!

So as of today, not a single modern laptop out there that offers both a digitizer and dedicated graphics with 4/5th gen i7. I don't understand, there are millions of architects, engineers, artists, industrial designers, and visual designers that need just that. Am I completely wrong about the market demand? How does this product not exist?
I feel like I missed my two month window of opportunity with the discontinued Thinkpad Yoga 14.
Preaching to the choir, I know.

    Please? :D

Actually the total amount of work isn't too much, especially with Stormi adding the latest additions to the excel sheet, but with the Win8 era winding down it does feel like a good time for a changing of the guard.

I vote Stormi for president. Seems like we have a tie!

Computed seems to be a real yawn this year. Everybody is waiting for Windows 10 it seems before launching new devices.
