The only good non-OEM note-taking (handwriting) app on Android that I found is Lecture Notes by Acadoid Developer. (I tried pretty much all of them a few years back.) Inking is fast, features are great, and the dev is accessible and responsive. If you want to take handwritten notes on Android e-ink (or even LCD), I highly recommend trying it.

Lisa has posted her review of the Onyx Boox Note2, 10.3" Wacom EMR e-ink note taker with front light running Android 9.

There is also another new model named Onyx Boox Nova 2. Somewhat smaller, maybe even pocketable. At least if your name is @Mesosphere

Talking about new models, Fujitsu ha released the Quaderno, it is literally the Sony RP1 under new name. I was hoping they would release it as a full fledged Android device, but apparently you still need the accompanying PC app to do anything with it. Same price too.

Interesting approach. This article suggests that they are just rebranded, but if that's the case, who benefits from a deal like this? Both? Sony gets a cut of Fujitsu's profits on any sales?

Seems kind of pointless, doesn't it?

I had forgotten all about this one: the ThinkBook Plus laptop, with pen-compatible e-ink display on the outside of the device. It's a 10th gen i5 system, but imo an e-ink display would be an even better addition on a snapdragon PC. Snapdragon + e-ink should make for some amazing battery life when needed.

<<...I don't really know what to make of this...>>

Other than the fact that it's only a technical demo and therefore doesn't need a specific purpose, my guess is that an intended application could be the emulation of the book reading experience with the pen providing the ability to annotate pages...

I believe they have been in talks with Sony, trying to convince them to revive their e-ink line. The idea being that it would replace textbooks and notebooks.
