Linux has really lagged in getting any sort of foothold in the Tablet marketplace which to this point has been dominated by Microsoft, maybe because they're the only ones crazy enough to compete for the niche market. Anyway, Michael Rolig is making some good progress on getting Linux fully functional on a Tablet PC. If you're interested on the latest in this regard, check out his site here.

That is a great resource for those who love Linux to get it running on a Tablet PC. It looks like it is risky as to which Tablet models can truly run Linux without issues. For those users who want to try Linux without the hassle of installing it, check out the Knoppix
http://www.knoppix.net/ solution. Knoppix is unique as it allows users to boot up from the CD drive and truly run Linux on their systems sans the install. Knoppix also includes some awsome built-in applications.
