    Hi all!
I want to buy Hydis screen for my LE1700.
I have greenish screen so I think it's Toshiba. Can I replace my Toshiba SXGA (1400x1050) with Hydis HV121P01-101?
    And how much it costs?
I've seen different offers, but the price varies from 180 to 500 dollars.
I do not know what to believe.

Is this Toshiba screen really so bad in the LE1700?
My LE1700 with cracked screen is on the route and i have to replace it. Thinking to put a TOS screen in cause its just for around 30U$.
The BH screens are around 250U$.

For example, when I create the blank document in Photoshop I see the gradient on the Toshiba screen instead of the uniform color:(

This sounds just like the mod that ThinkPaders are doing on the X60's.

    forum.thinkpads.com • View topic - SXGA+ on a X60s (non tablet)

From what I remember there is someone that made a cable and someone else that made a Bios upgrade.

I test at least 20-30 of these LCD's a month.

The Bios upgrade is to stop the memory errors.

    Hope this helps.

As far as i´ve investigated, it wont`t be easy to interchange this two LCD´s.
Cause Hydis has 1-Channel LVDS Interface and the TOS screen 2-Channel LVDS.

I have seen an online offer of the service manual for LE1700 for 30$.
If we have an electrical scheme of LE1700, then we can figure out were to connect those two cut wires (I have seen them on XGA LE1700 with Hydis screen too).
I found it impossible to find datasheet for the Toshiba SXGA+ 12" screens.
