It's first time I'm trying to get 3G broadband work. After I insert a sim card nothing is popping up. I installed Novatel Mobilink and Novatel Wireless Broadband driver but it doesn't seem to work. But I noticed a 3G Connection appeared in Network Connections but it says "Device missing". My OS is XP and BIOS version A18. There's WWAN option in BIOS but it's unavailable "No device". I bought this PC in US but I'm leaving in Russia, is this the "key"?

cheRRy: Based on the information in your post, it doesn't sound like your LE1700 has a broadband 3G radio installed. Open the Device Manager and see if there is a broadband device listed. If not, then you have your answer. If so, the next thing I would look at are the Novatel drivers. They may not actually be compatible...

    Good luck...

Oh, I thought a broadband module is a built-in option so far I have a sim slot in my LE1700... So I have to buy a WWAN card and insert to PCMCIA slot to be able to use 3G Connection?

...It's not uncommon to find ports and slots for optional extras pre-installed. I've owned several tablets that have had sim card or other ports installed, but didn't have the actual feature.

I don't have an LE1700, but I assume that you can purchase the appropriate broadband radio card and install it...
