How can I load vlite onto my Dell ST Tablet? Is it much faster and more responsive for you than Win 7 full or Win 8? Lastly you still have the tablet features like multitouch, correct?

You would need another desktop/laptop possibly with vLite installed along with the WAIK (Windows Automated Installation Kit). It's not too difficult but there's trial and error.

    Benefits:
    - Smaller install
    - Does not include additional language packs
    - Random pointless drivers removed
    - Other bits and bobs

    Negatives
    - Although a vLite install IS technically faster than the standard or clean install, you're still limited by the speed of the cpu in the ST slate (and to a certain point the SSD).

I can send you the iso if you like to save messing around? You'll need to backup your activation (Someone else can point you in that direction) as this is based on a retail dvd.

Is anyone's Latitude ST running hot? Core Temp reports my Atom CPU is at 70C!!! Is this normal? Running stock Windows 7, just got it today...

Mine does get a bit toasty at times but then again it hits 100% cpu time for twenty minutes opening a folder :) Will check tomorrow

Does anyone has any ideal on how to speed up the device. It's really slow and it seems it go at 100% CPU load for almost everything...

Turning off Aero helped smooth out my Q550. If you have not tried that yet, try a basic Window layout for a while and see of that helps out.

The Fujitsu Q550 and the Dell ST share internals so perusing the Fujitsu section may be a good place to pick up some pointers.
