What 40% discount is that? Oh, I guess you mean with the extra 10%. Still seems pricey.

I'm curious about this as well. I didn't see a 30 or 40% off coupon anywhere....

Oh... their 40% discount is fake. They jack up the initial starting price point and then offer a "discount" to make it look like you are getting a great deal.

Yea but I think $999 ish is the going rate for all these tablets. I was really looking to buy the Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro S but the premiere keyboard and the fact the Galaxy is still not released is what tipped me to the Dell side. Let's see.

That Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro S does look very nice. The m3 version of the Surface Pro 4 has been popping up on sale at $699 in a few places and the HP Spectre x2 as low as $500. For me, I'm hoping the m7 versions of any of these tablets should top out or at least start at $999.

I have to say .. I am tempted. I just got a Spectre on a great deal but ... This Dell is better, imo, than the X2 elite
    Disadvantages of Dell:
    1. Not 3:2
    2. Subjective but I think the HP keyboard is better
    3. Price
    4. Lacks full USB (although I don't really care)

    Advantages
    1. It has Realsense (Elite doesn't, only spectre)
    2. Option for 4k lcd (it is not for me as may face rescaling issues using stylus)

Now .. if someone must have realsense the Dell is way much better than the Spectre
    More advantages
    1. NVMe support. I am not sure if Spectre has that support
    2. UBS 3.1 + thunderbolt

In short .. if price matters Spectre is a great option, but if it is not a problem id go for Dell than HP Elite.
What I would like to know if it is upgradable (easy access to internals as Spectre and elite are)
