    Hello,

This is my second post here - I actually posted over a year ago when my search began - and I still haven't made a purchase. I am a professional illustrator using a Cintiq every day. I want a laptop tablet that I can take away from the desk to draw on. Drawing is the most important part, as it needs to be a smooth, as natural experience possible (similar to cintiq).

Part of the issue is the lack of model availability here in Australia, and difficulty in importing (and expense given our tumbling dollar).

So please bear in mind that any suggestions will need to be purchasable in Australia.

OK - on with the details!

    2. Would you consider purchasing used/refurbished?

A few - not really important as I am usually near a power supply.

    3. Do you require a pen? With or without pressure sensitivity? Do you prefer Wacom EMR, AES or N-trig?
See the above linked FAQ for guidance

    1. What size Hard Drive and Memory do you require? Would you like expandable memory?
Around 500 GB HDD. Enough memory to run photoshop smoothly and rapidly.

I think you should get something with EMR and Feel driver support but I don't think anything like that is under your budget unfortunately.

For instance, HP ZBook X2 is a 14" EMR device that would fit your needs well but it's more like $2000 USD...
