Well that totally explains all the issues that I've been having. I now know to make sure my Surface is in sleep mode when placing it on the dock at night.

<<...Note that Wikipedia has called the credibility of Batteyr University into question...>>

...I would say that Wikipedia has its own credibility problems.

Based on my experience however, the trends reported by Battery University are perfectly valid. Because batteries, and battery technology, are constantly changing, the exact values for things like battery "wear" or aging shouldn't be taken literally, but as approximate indicators I think they are still OK.

Yep, I pressed this issue over at the answer.Microsoft.com boards along with a few others, and while nobody at MS actually acknowledged the discrepancy/error, the webpage with Power Cover instructions magically was changed ha :p

Is the power cover available in stores yet or only in the online Microsoft store?
Since it isn't available in Europe, it would be nice if I can pick it up on holiday.

Most MS Stores carry it in stock and I believe BestBuy is also carrying them...

I can confirm the latter. Typing this from a brand new power cover. Bought it for travel mostly, in day to day use the internal battery is sufficient for me.
