I absolutely loved Internet Explorer Metro on Windows 8.1 except for mandatory ads in Youtube videos this was browsing perfection for me. How fast it was and how easily i could go to the previous/next page simply by swiping on the Surface Pro tablet. Microsoft Edge right now for me is like the desktop version of Internet Explorer on Windoss 8.1

Is there a way to get all these features back? I miss that kind of browsing already. I am so used to just swiping on the tablet screen and now i have to click on next/previous page arrows again.

Oh damn, that sucks big time. I am already missing it for whenever i want to make a new tab while browsing. And what about simply closing the browser and just apps by swiping the app downwards? That doesn't work at all anymore either?

That only works if you enable tablet mode.

Agreed man. I am sure i will get used to this, but why remove something that worked so damn well? Is there at least a good option to fully remove ads now, also in Youtube?

I understand that Microsoft is working on having extensions possible.

I understand that Microsoft is in full Dr. Pangloss mode over all aspects of Windows 10. Me? I think it's a curate's egg.

Edge is technically a Universal App, not a Win32 App...
