The large screen on the 12.9-inch iPad Pro has a lot of benefits, but tying on the display while holding the device can be a challenge in portrait mode and it's flat impossible in landscape. Apple's fix for this problem is apparently coming in iOS 10.3: a floating, one-handed keyboard: The version in the latest beta looks like an iPhone keyboard, and it can be moved around the screen for those who'd prefer it be on the left or right sides... or not in front of something they are trying to see. iOS 10.2.1 only came out a couple of days ago, and developers just got their first look at iOS 10.3, so it will be a few weeks before it is released to the general public. UPDATE (March 28): iOS 10.3 is now available, and this small, floating keyboard doesn't seem to have made the cut. UPDATE (July 19): This small, floating version keyboard will apparently be part of iOS 11.
