    The problem for Intel is their P cores are way too power hungry. While Apples power core are competing with Intel ones at moderate wattage performance wise, Intel one are doing it at double the wattage. Intel E cores are simply adding to multithreading performance at this point with minimal die space since they are hardly good enough to do anything beyond easiest of background tasks.

    It should still help them with some marketing bullet points like video playback length for battery ratings.

    Did anyone else notice Intel coming out swinging at CES this year?

    I had to do a double-take, but Intel is claiming better performance per watt than the M1 Max:

    It looks like between the ranges of 30-35W the new i9 delivers about 10% more performance than the M1 Max (and implied higher max boost performance too)?

    This is a direct shot at Apple, surely they've got the numbers to back this up :p. Anyone have the details on the benchmarks used?

    I guess the immediate question is: “doing what?” At least with AMD’s cherry-picked bar graph for RDNA2 they show what they’re testing.
