I owned the thinkpad 8 with 4GB ram and did not like it at all. I had a hardware defect and luckily was able to return it and me not liking it had nothing to do with the defect.
The USB 3 connector was awkwardly placed and it was a larger USB 3 connector which was a PITA to use. The build of the tablet felt like a heavy piece of glass that would shatter into pieces if you even slightly dropped it.
I much preffered the HP 608 I had it was really close to being a pretty awesome 8 inch tablet with modern spec's. However it had touch screen/wifi issues and I returned that one to.
I'm dying because of the lack of any news no S4!!!
I too want to see an iPad pro 9.7 competitor from microsoft in addition to the latest Asus Transformer mini windows 2 in 1 (surface Clone).
I think the surface 3 will eventually redefine a mobile Portable Computer replacing most ordinary laptops. The surface 4 may have a core M Processor.
so do we care if Intel drops Atom SoC with built in modem? when one only needs to use Intel's modem separately.
iPhone might be doing it:
As Intel has announced "Apollo Lake" I don't know were this message came from.
The only thing they announced is that the X3 ( the mobile phone one ) won't get a successor.
Fanless 12" Core M3 tablet, keyboard case and pen for $799. http://liliputing.com/2016/06/deals-day-6-21-2016.html The 12" Samsung is the same price. Clearly, MS could make a Core M replacement for the Surface 3 that would sell in the same range for tablet, pen and keyboard.
Kickstand, kickstand, kickstand, kickstand - OEM's REPEAT AFTER ME - kickstand, kickstand, kickstand, kickstand...
I find this Hawai interesting but yea, kickstand would be nice. I find myself wanting one for my Note 5.
@Bronsky FWIW there are tons of different kickstand cases for Note 5, and most other smartphones as well.
