Hello guys! First of all I wanna say thank you to everyone who has helped with these guides and making XP possible on TX2500z.
I have followed the instructions and finally got XP working. Everything seems to work just fine, except the fingerprint reader. The driver is installed and it says it is functioning proparly, but Verisoft Access Manager doesnt recognize the reader. So I cant add a fingerprint through the software.
Anyone have similar experience? Any ideas? Thanks a lot guys!

Ok, got the fingerprint problem sorted out. But another issue arises.. What happens to the screen-brightness control button? This is arguably a needed function as the battery-utalization relies heavily on it.. As of now, it does nothing. I want the brightness menu back :p

    Hi

First of all thx for all the info.

I too downgraded my tx2500z to win xp. But can't get tablet components. In system properties says win xp tablet edition 2005 and also I tried upgrade but that too didn't work.

    Here is what i did:

using the drivers provided I used nlite to slipstream the sata driver and everything installed fine. I then installed the other drivers. That too worked. But I get no pen support. I found out that it did not ask for cd2.

Anne-Sanjose You say you slipstreamed cd2 to make a DVD how did you do that.

Pls Guys someone help vista is using too much system resources.

    Drtigerlilly,

I am trying to install XP Pro in a separate partion on my tx 2500.
I have burned an ISO with nlite using the gigabyte drivers,
I keep getting the bsod everytime I try to install. Please help.
I can't see anyway to turn off AHCI or prvious SATA drivers.

you're using your own xp pro disk? If so there are no included sata drivers.
