Inserting symbols in OneNote

    In law school, I use the section and paragraph symbols quite frequently. In Word, the insert-symbol function has an option to create a shortcut key, so I've made Alt-S and Alt-P the shortcut keys for section and paragraph symbols.

    Why doesn't OneNote let you do that? I thought they would have fixed that from OneNote 2003.

    Any easy way around that? I can do the ASCII code instead, but that's time-consuming as well, esp. on a laptop with no numpad.

    Any ideas?

    You may use a little freeware called ClipX (http://www.clipx.org), with its plugin "Stickies".
    So for example, pasting any static text is one shortcut+one key (say Win+v,P), or two clicks plus paste action.

    I find it really handy, although i ever don't buy my Tablet, actually.
