Does anyone ever experience high cpu usage from the inputpersonalization.exe process in Vista? I've been experiencing this lately and I think it usually happens after resuming from standby.

Doesn't happen all the time but it chews up about 50% of the cpu for a couple of minutes and then goes away. I have the Fujitsu T2010.

yes, I here the same problem. The process starts as soon as I start the TIP, and it stays on using 50% of the Cps. I have not found a solution yet, and I think this is a vista problem! My machine is a X200T

Anybody else with the some problem, and maybe a solution?

    The solution :
Kill the process, and a new one will appear with less cpu (and memory usage)

killing it is not a solution, because it restarts.

From the link I have given:

Re: Notebook, Tablet PC, and UMPC Development Handwriting Personalization Error

Here is the workaround for the corrupted inkstore database.

1.Start Task Manager. On the Processes tab in Task Manager, End the InputPersonalization.exe process. Close Task Manager.
2.You are going to remove all of your personalization storage files. Navigate to the where the InputPersonalization folder is located in your user profile. Mine is found at C:\users\username\AppData\Local\microsoft\.
3.Delete the InputPersonalization folder. This removes the database and all of the database files.
    4.Reboot your computer.
5.Click the Start button, click Control Panel, click Mobile PC, and then, in Tablet PC Settings, click Enable or Disable Handwriting Personalization.
6.Make sure that personalization is turned on and then click OK.
    You should be all set.
