If I install win 7, and save files to a separate partition, can I access them with vista later?

If I install Windows 7, and then switch back to vista after the testing period is over, can I access files saved on separate partitions from the one the OS is installed on?

You could probably also benefit from a dual boot setup.

I'd suggest (since 7 it's still beta) to modify vista bootloader and install win7 as a unique VHD file.

very simple, partition your hd, install win 7 to the new partition, use easybcd to edit the bootloader if you have any problems, and b/c the bootloaders appear to be the same, you're unlikely to have any issues.

    I can definitely say i haven't.

What about my applications? Say I do a dual boot setup. I'm going to want microsoft office, Bluebeam PDF Revu, etc. installed. Do I need HDD space to install these twice, or is there a way to install a program for Vista/W7 to use in one installation? (I know that's probably a long shot, but oh well!)

no you'd have to install your applications twice, files, music pictures would be ok but applications won't.
