Do you have the windows feature for tablet and pen turned on?
Sorry that I haven't replied earlier (wasn't near a computer yesterday)
Where do you find the "feature for tablet and pen" to turn on/off?
I quess this is it:?
> Control Panel >Programs & features >Turn Windows Features on/off > Tablet PC components ? (Its checked on my system btw)
Btw. having a look at your signature ...where do u find bios 601? I've only seen 501 on the Asus webpage (I've got a EP121-1A010M)
ASUS had released bios 601 but then withdrawn it..I am still using it ..
So it is ok with your pen now?
Nope, still no go with the Pen
I mean its really frustrating that it won't work. Everything else seem to work fine with finger touch input, it loads up nicely, no graphic glitches or that it freezes. etc etc.
I don't think it can be a hardware issue, it must be software related...however what really bugs me is that I can't get the pen to work after a clean recovery install?! I've sent an email to Asus asking if I could download a older version of the recovery dvd, ... will see what their respond is.
The guy from Asus told me to load optimal settings in BIOS.
After that saving and getting out of bios, windows loads up normally till the start screen. I put in my password and hit enter. After that I got a blackscreen for several minutes. I then forced a restart, which loaded up fine. However in Windows the problem still persists. (I can't use the pen).
so you have touch..but no pen..what do you have now in your device manager hid section.
- HID-compliant consumer control device
- HID-compliant device
- HID-compliant device
Which is default for me after a clean install and without any extra usb keyboard or mouse.
I could post some images when I come home after work, which will be in 3 hrs => 7:30pm (GMT +/- 0 hrs) if necessary.
I still haven't got any wacom/pen called devices in the device manager. And I am still unable to install the ISD Dualtouch thing...
Goto ASUS and get Wacom_pen.zip ..install it..if you still a problem..then it islikely a hardware problem..
Yeah that's the one I've tried so many times...
After unpacking it:
Double tap on the pnpinst64, a warning window pops up "Do you want to allow the following program to make changes to this computer?"
Yes or No ( tap on yes)
Next windows pops up "Do you want to install the Wacom driver?"
Yes or No (tap on yes)
Then I get this error see pict:
Do you think it might be down to a hardware fault ?
Probably hardware failure..if can't get itinstalled.. You did run the "install.bat"
Did you register your slate with asus? The reason I ask, the driver I download is 7.0.2, which is not the driver your screenshot shows.
Try the updated driver
