Sounds like Microsoft and HP have high hopes for the Tablet PC as the command post for home theater.

The HP concept system also features a prototype Home Tablet PC, based on Windows XP Tablet PC, Edition that includes Media Center Edition features. Unlike Microsoft's Smart Display technology, in which the device displays whatever is on the PC that it is accessing and has no PC capabilities of its own, the Home Tablet PC gives users a fully functional PC for access to any data media from anywhere in the house, or from any remote location with a Wi-Fi hot spot.

Other features of the Home Tablet PC include a digitizer pen digitizer and touch-screen capabilities of Windows XP Tablet PC, combined with an integrated camera, Media Center Start button/controls and microphone array.
