HP's new 2710p Tablet PC gets closer to being in our hands. That's right, it officially received the FCC's approval today, although HP officially announced the tablet back in May. From the looks of it, this lightweight tablet has a solid design and nice appearance.

    Thanks Tiffany.

What's the betting the first question will be "does it have Wacom support". :)

I know, but all HP's website says is "it has a Digitizer". Very helpful, huh? I am hoping it will have Wacom and once I find out for sure, I will post it up. The FCC info doesn't say exactly either and it is hard to comb through some of that writing.

That's exactly what I was just about to ask. :(

    ;)

But judging from the quite reserved "It has a digitizer" I wouldn't hold my breath for it.

Ultra Wide Viewing Angle would be my guess; who doesn't want to have 170 or the full 180 degrees of viewing the screen? :)

lol, 180-deg viewing angle? Let's see which manufacturer lays claim to it first... how the hell do you see the screen perpendicularly ;-)

Actually, my first question after reading 1st post is, "why another tablet without touchpad!?"

It seems to have lost the nice speakers on the tx1000 too. Any news on the speakers on this thing?

    Alright, I take everything back.
I wrote HP an email about the digitizer and here's what they said:
