When?!?! I might still be able to return my tx2 and get this one! Though that processor had better not be some intel single core. Or is this going to be one of those keyboard less tablets running some ULV processor?

    http://www.engadget.com/2010/01/02/plethora-of-new-hp-laptops-desktops-leak-ahead-of-ces/

think there might be more than those?

    http://bits.blogs.nytimes.com/2009/12/29/have-you-zeen-what-hewlett-packard-is-up-to/

which makes me think that this is not an upgrade to the tx2, but rather just a new series without a keyboard who knows

The SU4100 and SU7300 are very good processors. Check out the popular Asus UL80/UL30 and Acer 1810t/z ultraportables to get an idea of their performance and great battery life.

Definitely approve of the switch to CULV for the consumer tablets. Hopefully aluminum casing doesn't make it too heavy.

See, these specs liamog found makes me think that this is not an upgrade but rather a new series to complement the tx2 series, I don't see HP replacing a fast processor with a slow one, at least I hope not.

Engadget recently found out the specs of the new HP TM2. It is scheduled to be released at a price of $1099.

With the changes from the TX line this seems to be a buisness class tablet at a consumers price point. The addition of a Intel Core 2 Duo processor, aluminum casing, and Intel GMA 4500MHD will help drastically reduce the heat issues know with that product line.

You can find all the information here.

ugh, well I'm glad I bought the tx while it was AMD based.

I am well over experienced enough to maintain my tx2500 even with the head aches caused by HP's great thermal design

    AMD FTW!

I'm much happier re the tx series with the move to Intel and the price isn't bad.

Also gizmodo mentions the on sale date as January 7, but other media outlets are quoting January 17th.
