Not really for the slate though I did use it to test the 4G Hotspot with it, I needed an additional WiFi USB adapter for around the house when working on a son/daughter/mother-in-law/plumber/whomever's computer and needed quick network access without running a cable out of my office.

On Amazon, I picked up an inexpensive generic WiFi 50Mbps b/g USB adapter

    1) was inexpensive at $8.85, Really....
    2) Worked great on the slate and the 4G Hotspot, typically 20Mbps or better. Still having issues with the Slate's internal WiFi and the same hotspot.
    3) Easy to use/install.

Going to pickup a few more as I never seem to have enough of these.

I have the pen with the tether but I can't see where to attach it to the slate. What do I tie it around? The speaker holes on the bottom?

Good question! Just a guess on my part, but I think that HP intended for you to tether the pen to the folio case, not to the Slate itself. Since the Slate has no pen garage, having the pen dangle from it could be awkward. When using the folio, however, the pen has a storage location and the tether can be anchored to one of the small straps...

I don't know if anyone else wondered about this but I asked HP if we had to buy warranty upgrades through the carepack now or it can be done anytime during the initial warranty period. HP says they can be ordered anytime during the first year. They made it clear that the carepack is retroactive to the date the slate was purcahsed, not when the carepack was elected. So, you get three years from the purchase date of the Slate, not the carepack.

It's nice to have that option. That way, I can see if I will be keeping the slate. If I am going to keep it more than a year, I'll probably get the extended warranty.

Picked up the Motorola bluetooth keyboard at Best Buy the other day. Works fine with my slate and it's very compact. Full set of function keys, but they are labeled with Android shortcuts for the Xoom and you have to hold down the FN key to get the normal Windows functions.

Nice looking keyboard. Looks a bit like mine which is designed for an Ipad I think.
