Yes, it clamps on and folds up clamshell style to protect the screen.
Multi postioning for screen angle, backlit keys and extra battery/
USB, Ethernet, and VGA ports built in.
At least that is what the HP propaganda states.
Will find out when mine comes in.
Finally the tablet can be used in a productive mobile manner.

In my case, I bought the computer part for under $500.
$300 for the keyboard dock and I'm only at $800.

Here's a pretty good YouTube Review

    Sam,

great video! this is actually the best video i have ever seen on this HP Pro X2

it really is the best (from quality perspective and build) 2-in-1 out there, just a little bit heavy.

Perhaps HP will come out with the HP Pro X2 612 G2 with the skylake chip and keep the total weight of power keyboard and tablet around 2.8 to 3 lbs

HP has a 30% off on accessories now.
    (as of Oct 6, 2015)

You can obtain the dock for a little over $200.

HP Spectre X2 just came out! 2.7 lbs total weight of tablet / keyboard. HP is smart and kept Wacom technology!

The Skylake Core M 6Y75 processor is fanless and better benchmark specs than the HP Pro X2 i5-4302y CPU! :)

This is probably why HP is selling older models cheap now! The new Spectre X2 looks fantastic!

I wonder if HP will do a business class version of the Spectre X2 to replace the Pro x2 612 :)

The HP site state it is a Wacom "ACTIVE PEN"
Is there more than one type of active Wacom pen?

"Active" would apply to both EMR and AES (but only appears explicitly in the name of the latter).
