Please help! I and spinning out of control here with all of these different models in Canada.

    I purchased a tx2517ca from staples

I returned it and bought futureshop online (yes it was me that order the last one).

The futureshop spec if better, you get more ram & hd for $50 more, considering how problematic the fingerprint reader has been to users, i'm not sure its worth it.

It's a nice feature....but unless you really intend to use it...

On the other hand, if you absolutely need the fingerprint reader, memory & hd can always be upgraded after the fact but it will cost you alot more than $50 and you'll be left w/ extra ram & an extra hd.

I disabled my fingerprint reader. Its mainly just one of those things that is useful if you are in slate model 80+ % of the time

I think it's a good choice, we canadian don't get those zm chips so rm70 is the best you can get here. All other specs are like maxed out for just $50 more. Your 4g ram will give you wei=4 comparing to 3g ram for wei=3. 6 if that makes you feel more comfortable. Welcome to the club.

I've found the fingerprint reader works much more reliably in my TX2530 than TX1030 but would agree that the extra RAM & HDD & slightly better processor seems a better mix.
