@Bishop thanks for the update Hedley. I really like your definition of the Grail Tablet (c). Since I'm firmly in the N-Trig camp with this pricey Surface Book, I'll take the MS N-Trig option for the @Mesosphere Surface Air!

All that is missing is 128gb SSD and Thunderbolt 3 (which gives you built in docking)...

I looked at Google Play Store and Samsung Apps, but could not find it. Can you tell me more about the "Write on PDF" app?

"Haley vs. United States. Haley: 7, United States: Nothing. SEE! IT CAN BE DONE!"

    I'm in for your upgrades.

Early Latin text. Mid-twelfth century I should think.

HP Envy Note 8 has landed - initial unboxing impressions:
    • Looks nice-very much like a shrunken Surface (unfortunately 16:9 - BLEH)
    • Very lite and easy to hold
    • Pen seems responsive for screen taps and scrolling
    • Updates are going very smoothly so far
    • Slow charging (kind of like the Surface 3)

Just waiting for your unabashed opinion on the matter :)

I'm just waiting on updates (been all afternoon, and now it is on 1511 - the Win10 biggie). Then I need to install Office (changed my mind and going to go desktop version because it is so much better for OneNote). Will update thread as soon as I get to play with it...

One more note (as the slow clock turns) - the screen is far nicer and sharper than the AVN8 - better resolution by far than any other 8" WinTab I've tried.

    FIRST TWO HOURS...
    • All Windows 10 updates loaded, and only using Office Mobile apps for now
    • Love the form factor - so small, thin, and light
    • The pen is very good. Tracking and writing in OneNote Mobile is very smooth, fluid, and no visible lag (but I'm not a speed writer)
    • The glass is very slick, and the pen tip is a bit hard (a little harder than Surface Pro 3 pen) so you seem to slip a bit as writing - but I do not want to add a screen protector for more drag, so go figure
    • Very responsive, and as snappy (maybe even a bit more so) than the Surface 3 I tried last week
    • Screen is very clear, sharp, and bright (not Surface bright, but very good)
    • Opened Chrome with about 8-10 tabs and no slowdown
    • Watched a few Youtube videos that ran smooth and plenty of sound
    • Texture magazines are a little small but look great, and every bit as good as iPad Mini
    • Don't like the white plastic back, but covered it immediately with Skinomi brushed aluminum - 100% better
    The big "Whys" -
    • Why no 4gb RAM option
    • Why no GSM of any sort - Verizon only - really (what a waste)
    • Wacom AES is pretty nice, but what an awesome device this would be with the Asus VivoTab Note stick
    • Why no ultralight faux leather cover/stand
    • Why not join MS with a 3:2 ratio screen
    Still contemplating -
    • Should I load desktop Office (I really need Outlook and maybe desktop OneNote)?
    • Ordered a generic case off Amazon to try to get a pen loop (maybe just us MS loop?)
    • Tablet Mode or Desktop Mode - that's a tough decision
