    So far seeing a significant difference. It's not perfect, but does feel much snappier now. I just avoided any x86 software and moved almost all my apps to the SD card. Even moved OneDrive folder to the SD card, now I've got over 13gb after installing all updates( had barely 3gb before the reset). Used to have more than 70 processes running in the background, now it's only 40.

    My HP8EN seems to have developed a problem. Since yesterday, it's been failing to connect to the internet when am at home and connected to my home wifi, there's full wifi signal, but no internet connection. However, there's internet connection when on my mobile wifi router. To be sure, my other devices at home have internet connection on the home router, it's only the HP8EN. I've tried resetting the network adapter, but that's no good. My mobile wifi has a data cap, (but the home's unlimited), so I always switch it off when at home. Any ideas?

    A couple of restarts and it resolved itself. Can't really say what was the cause.

    I've been using mine at work as a OneNote machine and for occasional email/web browsing use. My prior jobs let me get a Surface Pro and a Lenovo Miix 700 as my primary machine. However, this job has restricted me to a clunky Lenovo running Windows 7 (ugggh).

    For the first week, the Envy Note 8 felt good, but a bit slow and foreign. Foreign b/c Win10's tablet mode is just strange and I was able to avoid it on the larger machines, but feel that it is necessary here.
    Pros
    * Stylus response is great.
    * Battery life seems good though not dependable (I keep it locked/sleep mode in a drawer at the office, and I I can't yet predict if I'll come back to a fully charged tablet or a 20% battery)
    * It is pocket-able
    Cons
    * Bezels are big
    * Tablet is thick
    * Edges are uncomfortably sharp

    Most interestingly though, on Monday of week 2 I forgot the Envy Note 8 at home and was forced to use my Samsung Note 5 for OneNote, and was very pleasantly surprised that the small screen didn't kill me. The speed on the phone is also much better. I may just try a week with the phone before going back to the Envy to see if I really need the Envy like I thought I would.

    Henceforth my motto shall be "speed and sharpness before size". ;)

    Hmmm! I take it this is about smartphones and tablets.
