1,280x800 screen resolution means that it's instantly off my Xmas list along with the many cables that you plug into the bottom of the device.

    1. The first device from HP doesn't have sd/USB on the tablet. Opps.
    2. The second device from HP has a screen resolution of 1280x800
    3. The 2770p looks to be have been cancelled.

    What is HP doing?

This is sad. They discontinue the best tablet series on the market, the 27XXp series and replace it with this Atom based toy...

I've left the ship and ordered a Fujitsu T902, time will tell if HP ever releases a proper tablet again. First they discontinue the TC1100 series which people still miss and then this...

If they don't reach their self defined sales targets they'll probably proclaim that 'Windows 8 didn't work for us' :(.

So far, the Dell Latitude 10 looks like the best all-around Atom design. What is HP thinking with this hodge-podge? A business user needs a matt display, clamshell keyboard base (preferably with extra battery) and swapable battery on the tablet. Although you can add ports on the KB base, the tablet needs a USB and HDMI standard. N-Trig pen? Maybe they improved them, but N-Trig's lack of support for its existing hardware makes their equipment a non-starter for me. Why did they make it so big?

I wonder if HP kept the same power adapter as my Slate 500 and if that new slice battery can be adapted. Oh, and they enlarged the keyboard but kept the odd key arrangement that has a very steep learning curve.

So far, I'm still waiting for the MS Surface Pro.

    +1 for the Dell machine.

It looks like the 900 will/can use the standard Elitebook charger but that's based on the little dongle type adapters which is a small bonus. Hp is probably my favourite brand and I'm kind of confused as to why they would make such a weak (ish) effort. :(

Yeah, I'm very confused by this product. How can they release this sub-par looking product as their "business" line, and then provide the very sleek and functional looking Envy as their consumer line? This tablet looks and feels like a Win7 release- no true docking keyboard is focused on, pen is NTrig, 1280 x 800 res, etc. It's very odd.

This isn't the slate 8 thingy, is it? I figure that must be some other, higher end product, right?
