Just saw this model on Ars. Looks promising! Super light (2.2 lbs) with yoga hinge, that's a combination Lenovo hasn't been able to produce in their ThinkPad line. The screen is 13", with 550nits claimed brightness, and 16h stated battery life. There's supposedly a 1000nits version as well. The article claims that inking is supported with optional stylus. Not sure which pen technology it uses.

    13.3" screen, 16:9,
    4K or 1080p 1W display
    Webcam with shutter
    IR camera
    fingerprint reader
    8th Gen Core i3/i5/i7
    16GB of RAM
    2TB of storage
    Wi-Fi 6
    4x4 LTE
    2x USB-C, 1 USB-A, HDMI
38 Wh OR 56 Wh battery
    2.2 lbs
    active pen support

Starting price $1600, available Oct 25.

That thing is lighter than my GB12 with Folio Keyboard, and the specs are amazing (INCLUDING 4g LTE). I can imagine that since it is an Elitebook, however, that fully loaded model will come close or cross $3,000. Still, to have HDMI, USB-A, and TB3 with 16gb/1tb, 4g LTE, and 4k UHD in a single 2-in-1 package is amazing. Now WHERE is their version of the Lenovo stick in a silo!

Yeah, no silo, and I'm sure if you want the long battery life you'll have to get the 56Wh battery which will add some weight. For reference, my 14" X1 Yoga is 3lbs but with a rated 54Wh battery. Still, if they manage to get good/great battery life with their 38Wh battery, it would be a pretty sweet machine.

Elitebooks are their best business line; it ticks everything else I want in a 2-in-1 at UNDER 3 pounds. Getting an LTE Thinkpad X1 Yoga takes an act of god (in addition to a two month wait) - what is wrong with this world anyway? By the time you can get an order filled on the "current" model the next design is already up delaying your order even more...

Wait is this the same 1W that was problematic on the Folio?

Loving that they put an 8th-gen quad-core U instead of a dual-core Y. Ah, if only they blew away that HP logo made the screen 3:2...

A bit of a question, Ars says:

"Those ports are accompanied by two Thunderbolt 3 ports"

But the spec sheet doesn't mention it? :vbconfused:
