RAM is soldered on. You can't upgrade RAM.
We are looking forward for your impression!

It's gorilla glass, isn't it? If the kb scratches it tell them you want a replacement but better yet leave the kb at home, it's a tablet.
2 HP reps I chatted with told me specifically it could be upgraded after the fact - my first clue was this listed on the HP site for one of the models:
8 GB DDR3L-1866 SDRAM total (4 GB DDR3L-1866 onboard and 4 GB DDR3L-1866 SDRAM)
You'll see that here:
I would be suspicious of that and go the support site and check the maintenance manual.
Hate when sales reps don't know what they're talking about...man it would be nice if the RAM was upgradable since they're only offering the 4GB ver in Canada right now...
so it look like the 899$ device is without the keyboard
shipping Jan 31 from B&H
the higher end SKUs are with the keyboard (personally I want the 1499$ SKU , but I'll wait and see if core m7 is worth it to add another 200$)
BTW , do we know which SKU have the fingerprint scanner ?
Anyone know if the Elite X2 has the same screen/tech as the Spectre X2 - HP seem to describe them differently, but wondering if it's the same panel?
Elite X2 (from HP.com):
12" diagonal FHD UWVA eDP ultra-slim LED-backlit touch screen (1920 x1280), direct bonded, Corning® Gorilla® Glass 4
Spectre X2 (from HP.com):
12" diagonal WUXGA+ IPS WLED-backlit touch screen (1920 x 1280)
At least in the US the $899 version comes with the same kb as all the others do.
why don't you buy it from the US? is there a huge savings if you bought it from the US? and does hp offer international warranty (like the thinkpads)
