    Thanks

I have never been so far in the recovery process thank to your explanations.
However when I launch imagex with the command above I have an error 5, access denied and a reference to a folder/file in program files / windowsapps/...
Any idea how to overcome this....

I look so close to restore my tablet...

Note that I am here as I want to recover the win8. I cannot do it from the system nor by using a recovery media (I end up with blue menu and only choices of shutdown or start again). I have a probably a partition issue.
When Iget the tablet I split C into C and D. When I tried to recover, it did not work so I though it came from that split. Hence I mixed again C and D.
However my recovery partition is #5 and not #4.

Could you tell me why is the theoretical partition list. I have: PArt 1OEM 300M / Part 2 System 100Mb / Part 3 Primary 58Gb / Part 4 OEM 350Mb and Part 5 OEM 8Gb.

    Thanks

    Sebastien

I ran this command since windows was on the x: drive and the microsd was on the e: drive
    e:\imagex /apply d:\recoveryimage\install.wim 1 x:

    I saw this:
    ImageX Tool for Windows
Copyright (c) Microsoft Corp. All Rights Reserved
    Progress: 0%
[Error: 50] (null). [restore file compression: (seq. 10) -> Error setting compression]
    [Error: 50] x:\program files\common files\windows live\.cache
    Error restoring image.
    The request is not supported.

Does this mean my image is corrupt?
