    Hi,

I will receive my new T734 in a few days and I would want to know how to install a new SSD in the Fujitsu T734. Is someone has an idea?

    Thank you!

First check whether this action will void warranty or not. Sometimes Fujitsu manufactures faulty product so be careful with this. Next refer to user manual. It should be straight forward to do this.

    I will repeat again
Fujitsu Product != High quality product
    but
    Fujitsu Product = Expensive product.

If its anything like the t902 and t732 it will be simply a matter of opening the HD bay with a simple screwdriver and replacing it by hand. If that is the case, (user accessible) it will not void warranty.

If I understand you stoneseeker, if the HD bay (Hard Disk Drive compartement) is alike the T732 (see the attached image below), then it will not void warranty?

Do you know a video where the HD replacement can be see on the T902 or T732?

    Thank you!

Also keep in mind there are two levels of voiding the warranty. There is what is written in the document and there is warranty tape. It may be written in the document that your warranty will be voided, but without warranty tape protecting the component, they will never know you were there (unless you damage something). I have not found a Fujitsu product yet that protects the hard drive with tape. I could imagine the waterproof Q704 does, but the T734 is highly doubtful. Even the slim and light T904 doesn't have tape.

You can swap the hard drive. When I sent my T732 in for repair, I removed the hard drive before sending it; they use a standard service hard drive to test.

    Thank you guys!

So utopian201, it seems easy to replace by myself the HD.

Is-it as much easy to replace an HD by a SSD?
Is there something to change in the BIOS for by example cancel the ShockSensor that will be, I think, useless with a SSD drive?

    Bye!

The ShockSensor driver should be uninstalled according to Fujitsu.

Uninstalled before or after the replacement of HD by SSD?
