I didn't find a thread on this took me a little time to figure out so posting to save some of you guys some time. Valid as of April 2009, until HP changes their webpage.

Steps to finding newest driver for your HP Laptop:

    1. Go to your products' driver download page as you would normally thru HP's support page.

    2. Get to the page with all the drivers listed for your product under the appropriate OS. COPY the full name of the driver you are looking for an update for. (Webpage title is "Select software and drivers")

    3. Go to Business support search form

    4. Paste the full name of the driver and software you are looking for as from your product's driver and support page. . Choose "Drivers and software" under "Search only these content areas", and also choose "Sort by date" under "Results Display". SUBMIT

    5. Find the newest entry that matches what you are looking for (might not be on first page). Enjoy your new driver.

    What's the diff?
HP has two searches on their webpage:
    1. Business support search
    2. Customer care search

To get the newest drivers, you need to go to the business support search, here.

The Customer care search doesn't have the sort by date:

So it throws you a bunch of useless results and you never can find what you need.

I just found that it wasn't easy to get to that page because the search box usually goes to the useless customer care search.

shouldn't matter, the only difference is that b/c you have a tablet, which has a rotating screen you'd likely have to edit the drivers for rotation.

In the inf (open with notepad) change rotate flag to 0x40

If the hardware matches, the software and drivers are identical across different platforms.

no you can't use bios between devices, it has to be a tx1000 bios.
